 Course description  The objective of studying the course "Logistics" by students is acquiring knowledge concerning the development of logistics, management trends and optimization of the logistic activities of the enterprise, the essence of instruments of logistic management in the activities of enterprises and organizations, as well as of practical skills to solve specific management tasks of logistics of the enterprise on the basis of formation of analytical and factual information.

Topic 3. Objects of logistic management and logistic operations
Topic 4. Logistic activities and logistic functions

Module 2. Functional and basis division of logistics
Topic 6. Logistic approach to management of material flows in the sphere of production
Topic 7. Logistic approach to management of material flows in the sphere of circulation
Topic 8. Logistic approach to  the service of customers
Topic 9. Warehouses and transport in logistics
Topic 10. The economic ensuing of logistics
 Learning outcomes  As a result of the learning the course "Logistics" students have to acquire a body of knowledge and skills that should promote general professional training of future specialists and ensure proper execution of their tasks the sphere of  management, in particular:
- to operate the terminology of logistic freely;
- to master the knowledge of the logistic system, its subsystem components and their modeling;
- to have specialized knowledge in specific logistic spheres of enterprises, supply logistics, production and transportation logistics, warehousing logistics and management of recourses, distribution and information logistics;
- to be able to make up management decisions and to solve practical problems regarding the logistic functional spheres;
- to know the rules of realization and documentation of separate logistic operations;
- to solve practical tasks regarding the logistic functional spheres.
Competencies:
- the ability to solve practically the problems of optimization of the logistic system capacity;
- the ability to identify and apply the principles of organization of internal production logistic systems;
- the ability to manage and organize technological processes in logistic systems.
