 Course description  To give an idea of the specificity of philosophy as an important form of social consciousness, historical type outlook, show methodological role of philosophical knowledge in understanding the ontological, epistemological, axiological and social problems being; acquaint with the history of the world of philosophical thought, the ideas of modern philosophy, promote students' abilities in critical thinking, independent analysis of complex phenomena of social and economic life.

Topic 2. The philosophy of the ancient East.
Topic 3. Antique philosophy.
Topic 4. Western philosophy of the Middle Ages.
Topic 5. Philosophy of Renaissance.
Topic 6. European classical modern philosophy and the Enlightenment (XVII-XVIII)
Topic 7. German classical philosophy
Topic 8. Traditions and peculiarities of philosophical thought in Ukraine.
Topic 9. The modern world philosophy.
Module II. Theory of Philosophy and Methodology of Science
Topic 10. Philosophical ontology.
Topic 11. Consciousness, its content and structure.
Topic 12. Epistemology. The main content of cognitive activity.
Topic 13. Philosophy and methodology of Science.
Topic 14. Philosophical anthropology.
Topic 15. Axiology and Philosophy of Culture.
Topic 16. Social philosophy. Philosophy of History.
Topic 17. Philosophy of Economics.
Topic 18. Social progress and philosophical problems of globalization.

 Learning outcomes  A study discipline "Philosophy" student should know:
-  the content of world and national historical and philosophical process;
- the essence of methodological approaches and theoretical foundations of philosophy;
- problems of modern philosophy and new approaches to solving the most important philosophical problems.
A study discipline "Philosophy" student should be able to:
- exercise of free choice and ideological justify philosophical ideas relate to the practice of public life;
- combine general philosophical problems with solving problems of economic theory and practice;
- form their own belief that self-identity is impossible without the introduction to the achievements of the cultural heritage of mankind, part of which is a philosophy;
- work with philosophical texts, philosophical interpretation, explanation and evaluation philosophies.
The ability to teach students to analyze philosophical problems; to develop interest in the spiritual quest and expand the horizon of personal outlook
The ability to give to students a holistic view of the specificity of philosophical knowledge, especially philosophy of solving problems that worried and continue to worry about humanity, to reveal the creative role of philosophy in contemporary culture, to justify the need for assimilation of philosophical knowledge,
The ability to create a culture of philosophical thinking of students by involving them in ideological culture accumulated by mankind in the history of its existence; to analyze philosophical problems based on critical analysis of philosophical concepts; to correlate philosophical, ideological idea and practice of public life; means and methods, concepts and categories, the history of philosophical thought and its modern problems
To promote the students' ability to think logically, independent analysis of complex phenomena of social life, the ability to link the general philosophical problem of solving problems of economic theory and practice
